This is a continuation of the original Food as Metaphor writing class. New students also welcome. If you have taken a previous Food as Metaphor class, we will continue to write about food as metaphor in family, relationships, memoir, religion, social heirarchy, politics and local and national identies and how food can be used to write about all parts of our lives. This class features new writing exercises and new readings covering poetry, fiction, memoir, and prose.
Jules will enhance writing activities with related books, recipes, and food items and students are encouraged to do the same. Reading list provided. Indiviidual manuscript critique/support is provided. At least two writing exercises per class, for plenty of writing time to generate new work. Minimum 3 students, maximum 8.
