January 4th at 3 pm - Stewart Warren book launch & remembrance gathering
TORTUGA GALLERY - ALBUQUERQUE
Friends and fans of the late Stewart Warren are invited to gather at Tortuga Gallery in Albuquerque to celebrate his life and the publication of a final book of his poetry, Feeling the Distance.
There will be music by Paul Trujillo, Stewart's bandmates in Dog Star, and others. Open mic for those wishing to read a poem for, or by, Stewart (or just say a few words), and potluck. Stewart’s wife, Pamela Williams, will be in Albuquerque for this occasion.
3 pm - open mic sign up and event begins.
Potluck and music throughout.
Pamela Williams and John Roche, as requested by Stewart, have edited his final book of poems for Poetry Playhouse Publications. We are happy to announce that the book will be available for sale at this remembrance event for the discounted price of $10.

Special thanks to Logan and Pax Garcia for hosting this event at their Tortuga Gallery.
Gratitude as well to Elise Stuart, Maggi Petton, Greg Candela,
and Wahtola Trommer for their valuable insights.
Pamela Williams says this book "is a poignant expression of deepening camaraderie with his looming mortality, woven together with his own joyful wonder over this miraculous journey and the pinnacle of his final year of learning and laughing through it."
