Explore your top three most important personal values, or Trinity Values, at this particular moment in time through guided writing prompts and encircled personal discovery in this one and a half hour yoga and writing retreat. Your Trinity Values will serve as your mantra during a gentle Hatha yoga flow. We will incorporate breath and fluid movement into your practice through the pen, onto paper, on and off the mat. Mantras, a word or sound repeated to aid concentration, make potent additions to your yogic and writing practices. The afternoon will culminate with a fresh air reflection (weather permitting), through personal journaling and a guided meditation in the beautiful surrounds of Jules' Poetry Playhouse in Placitas, NM.
A relaxing glass of wine and sharing of the cheese spread with your new-found community of writers and yogis will follow. Please bring a journal and wear comfortable loose clothing and layers. Limit six students.
Originally from New Mexico, Francesca Rodriguez, along with her mother and sister, relocated to Guam early in her life. Growing up in Micronesia allowed her to explore many islands in the Western Pacific as well as parts of Asia at an early age. She was first introduced to Hindu-Buddhist religions at age 10 when she visited Bali. She participated in her first yoga class and silent meditation retreat nine years later in Santa Fe. These were a few of many profound experiences throughout her many travels and relocations that have sparked her curiosity about life, self discovery, healing, connection, and service.
Francesca Rodriguez has been a student of yoga for 20 years and teaching Hatha yoga for one year. She graduated from a 200-Hour YTT in 2019. She is certified with Yoga Alliance. Francesca believes that everyone is deserving of healing experiences through movement in beautiful, tranquil, safe spaces and that yoga is more than exercise; there is agency in the asana. Her favorite moments are in helping create space for students that open and inspire them to step into their own being, experience their full potential, and discover the ocean of wisdom that lives within.
