From Larry Goodell:

I worked with Gary and Jeff Bryan and Cirrelda Snyder-Bryan for several years organizing and enjoying the Duende Poetry Series when Jim Fish was the owner

and proprietor (then the Anasazi Fields Winery). Then Gary Brower and Jim Fish and I worked with the Duende Poetry Series - in total, over 12 years of poetry activity

which included numerous recordings now available on Bandcamp. https://duende.bandcamp.com/  It was Gary's comprehensive knowledge of "what is going on" that

helped us organize, invite and enjoy so many poets. And Gary was integral in obtaining the Witter Bynner Fellowship our series received. That allowed us to feature poets

such as Simon Ortiz and his daughters, Joy Harjo and her musicians.

Gary Brower's latest book was HOW A LIAR COMBS HIS HAIR, and before that RIDE EASY, a stunning compilation of Kell D. Robertson's poems and commentary on Kell

and his poetry and song career. The MALPAIS REVIEW in its many hefty volumes presents the spectacular accomplishments of poets of New Mexico, poets of the Southwest,

that is, this area's poets of America. Gary's REVIEW and his other publications will remain as the go to source for the amazing literary diversity and quality achievement of our

poets right here. Gary has left us with living literary works for us to continue to enjoy. Margaret Randall will be among the poets who will speak.
